Last weekend we had a reunion of the 2011 Fellows; it was so wonderful to see many of our old friends! Everyone wasn’t able to be there, but for one weekend, Coriena and I were joined again with Lara, Spencer, Eli, and Matthew. We got to show them everything we’ve done this year, reminisced about last summer, and they got to meet all of the 2012 Fellows! We were also joined by Zach Foster (Lara’s boyfriend and stonework workshop leader), Josh Simmons (my boyfriend and resident carpenter/contractor for AMS), and Jonathan Warner (Josh’s employee/neighbor/friend who often accompanies him for work at AMS.)
On Friday night we played a really fun game of “Fish Bowl” and Eli introduced the 2012 Fellows to his super-secret-fourth-round. (You’ll have to ask him about it….) On Saturday we all went down to the gardens together, visited the goats and chickens, and then had a big dinner with all of the Fellows, Laurie, Pen, Ellen, Betty, and Zach; Josh and Jonathan came up for the campfire later in the evening!
We also found that Valerie has a special new friend…
